Community Survey

Two design scenarios have been developed that envision a future Healey+Mystic Neighborhood. Both proposals identify a variety of program opportunities, improve pedestrian connections within the project study area, and connect to regional networks & amenities. You can learn more about the designs at www.healeymystic.org. Please help inform recommendations for a preferred plan by sharing your opinion!

1. The three-story high bluff that physically separates the Mystic Neighborhood from the Healey School is the nexus of each proposal. The Incremental Plan leaves the bluff as it is and focuses on greening and improving the site. It is cheaper and could likely be done sooner. The Transformative Plan takes the bluff down 10 feet and creates space for a U10 soccer field. It might take an extra year or two and would be more expensive, but could generate city-wide support. Which statement comes closest to expressing your preference:

I like the Incremental Plan. It would be a major improvement to pedestrian connections and the current paved schoolyard. It is most important to get it done as soon as possible.

The Transformative Plan is amazing. It would transform the neighborhood, create a major new citywide resource and would be worth the wait.
